b.21 October 1846, Lyons, Wayne County, New York.
d.2 February 1924 of apoplexy., Decatur, Michigan. buried Lakeside Cemetery, Decatur.
 
Two sons:
J.D. Kimble b.14 January 1865 (or 1866). died before Lydia.
William H. Kimble b.14 (or 26) Oct 1867. Took care of Lydia after Benjamin died. Living in South Bend, Indiana, in 1907.
 
Benjamin enlisted, 6 Aug 1861, in 49th Regiment, Co. D ("A & D"), Ohio.
Wounded at Chickamauga, Georgia, 19 Sept 1863, bullets to left arm and right shoulder.
discharged 5 Sept 1864, Chattanooga, TN.
 
Lydia's sister= Aurilla A. Wells of 228 Vasula Ave., South Bend, Indiana (31 May 1907).
 
Benjamin's property at time of death consisted of a small house and about 1/2 acre of land at the corner of George and Mason streets in the village of Decatur, MI, for which he paid $300.
 
5'10" 160lbs (39yrs) blue eyes.
 
Parents called Nathan Kimble ("residence Vermont") and ______ Bogert, on record of death.
